EU adds another €30 million to Ukraine Energy Support Fund

The European Union has transferred an additional €30 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, raising its total contribution to €279 million, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

The European Union has made a new contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, transferring an additional €30 million. Ukraine's Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the news on X, as reported by European Pravda.

With this latest transfer, the EU's overall contribution to the fund has reached €279 million, the minister said.

How the money is used

Shmyhal explained that funds channeled through this financial mechanism go toward restoring energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks, purchasing essential equipment for Ukrainian energy companies, and ensuring stable power supply, particularly for critical infrastructure facilities.

Other recent contributions

The minister noted that Luxembourg had also recently made an additional contribution to the fund, while Denmark had recently donated more than €10 million.
