Philosopher: Putin, Xi and Iran's leaders are loyal to no one but themselves, which is why they cannot unite

Danish philosopher Lene Rachel Andersen argues that the self-serving nature of the leaders of Russia, China, and Iran prevents them from forming a true alliance, while also critiquing outdated education systems and the impact of AI on human creativity.

During a visit to Lviv, Danish philosopher, author, and economist Lene Rachel Andersen gave an interview to Ukrainska Pravda, discussing Russia's war against Ukraine, the resilience of democracies, and the flaws of modern education. She emphasized that Putin, Xi Jinping, and Iran's leaders are loyal only to themselves, which makes it impossible for them to unite — a key factor in global security.

Andersen pointed out that our education systems still rely on 20th-century or even 19th-century paradigms, while the world is changing rapidly. She criticized postmodernism for deconstructing traditional values and called for a return to the concept of Bildung — lifelong learning that combines transferable knowledge with life experience.

She paid special attention to artificial intelligence, warning that it is robbing people of the joy of creative work. She recounted how, when testing AI for translating her book, she found that the author's voice and spirit were lost. In her view, if AI takes over creative fields, people will lose a vital source of happiness.

Andersen also criticized the education system for excluding cultural heritage, which prevents young people from maturing emotionally. Great literature, such as Euripides' "Medea," helps readers identify with characters and understand complex emotions. In war conditions, where impossible decisions must be made, such knowledge is especially valuable for maintaining moral awareness and finding forgiveness.

The philosopher concluded that the modern world has become so complex that we need new ways of thinking, and education must become more personalized to uncover each student's talents and values.
