Almost half of companies in Latvia do not plan to make investments in their own development over the next 12 months. This follows from a survey whose results the bank "Citadele" shared with the Latvian news agency LETA.
The survey data show that 47% of companies in Latvia do not intend to invest. By comparison, 35% of companies in Estonia and 26% in Lithuania gave the same answer. Latvia therefore has the highest share among the three Baltic states, and it is considerably higher than in Lithuania.
The source does not say when the survey was carried out, how many companies took part or which sectors they represent. The reasons why companies are not planning investments are also not given.
