NVIDIA has expanded its GeForce Now cloud gaming service by adding official support for the Mozilla Firefox browser on Windows. Until now, the service officially worked with Chrome, Edge, Safari and Opera — Firefox now joins that list.

According to Mozilla, users had long been requesting this support, and the company worked with NVIDIA for months to make it happen. The update is likely to be welcomed by users who prefer Firefox and want to stream games, particularly those whose own hardware can't handle demanding titles and who can't justify buying a new high-end PC given current market prices.

Streaming capabilities

GeForce Now Ultimate subscribers using Firefox will be able to stream PC games at resolutions up to 1440p and frame rates up to 120fps.

The service is currently available across a wide range of devices, including PCs, tablets, phones, TVs and handheld consoles. GeForce Now users have access to more than 2,000 games, including titles they already own or can access through platforms such as Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox's PC Game Pass and Ubisoft Connect.
