General Staff: Russia lost another 1,310 troops in past 24 hours
Ukraine's General Staff reports Russian forces lost 1,310 troops over the past day, bringing total Russian losses since the start of the full-scale invasion to nearly 1.48 million.

The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces has reported that Ukrainian defense forces killed or wounded 1,310 Russian occupying troops over the past 24 hours. Total Russian military losses since the full-scale invasion began on 24 February 2022 have reached approximately 1,476,580 personnel as of 23 August this year.
The report also detailed equipment losses. Russia has lost 25,202 armored combat vehicles, with 26 destroyed or damaged in the last day alone. Artillery system losses reached 48,451 units, up by 69. Air defense equipment losses stand at 1,585, including one over the past day.
Aircraft and drones
Since the war began, Russia has lost 440 aircraft, one of them in the past 24 hours. Losses of ground robotic systems reached 2,352 units, an increase of eight. The largest losses remain in operational-tactical level drones, with 476,566 destroyed in total, including 1,925 over the past day.
Cruise missile losses reached 5,052 units, up by three. Russian losses of motor vehicles and fuel tankers reached 138,219 units, while losses of special equipment stood at 4,569 units.
