General Staff: 173 combat clashes on front line since start of day

Ukraine's General Staff reports 173 combat clashes along the front line since the start of August 25, with 29 occurring in the Pokrovsk direction. Russia carried out 58 air strikes and over 6,500 kamikaze drone attacks.

Ukraine's General Staff reported in its 22:00 update that 173 combat clashes have taken place along the front line since the start of the day on August 25.

The Pokrovsk direction saw the highest number of clashes, with 29 recorded there, remaining one of the most active sectors of the front. Ukrainian forces repelled 22 attacks in the Kostiantynivka direction and 11 in the Sloviansk direction, while 7 attacks were repelled in the South-Slobozhanske direction.

Activity was lower elsewhere: two attacks each were repelled in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, two combined in the North-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, three each in the Kramatorsk and Oleksandrivka directions, three in the Huliaipole direction, and one in the Orikhiv direction.

Air strikes and shelling

According to the General Staff, Russian forces carried out 58 air strikes over the course of the day, dropping 201 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed 6,517 kamikaze drones and conducted 1,965 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian troop positions.

The General Staff continues to issue daily situation updates detailing the number and intensity of clashes across the various front-line directions.
