Google Pixel 11: A Modest Step Forward
Google's new Pixel 11 keeps last year's screen but adds a faster Tensor G6 chip and a more comfortable one-handed feel. Changes overall are incremental.

Google's latest standard Pixel model, the Pixel 11, arrives with modest but noticeable updates compared to its predecessor. The phone comes in several colors, including a vibrant pink called Hibiscus, a muted green Pistachio, plus the usual white Frost and black Obsidian options. Last year's popular Indigo shade has been discontinued.
Design and Display
Despite having a 6.3-inch screen, the Pixel 11 counts as a relatively compact phone by today's standards, and reviewers found it comfortable to use one-handed. It's slightly thick but sits well in the hand, and its profile closely matches the pricier Pro model, allowing cases to be used interchangeably between the two. A protective case is recommended, since the finish can scuff easily.
The display itself is essentially unchanged from last year: a 6.3-inch OLED panel with 1080 x 2424 resolution, supporting 60 or 120 Hz refresh rates. Notably, it lacks a variable refresh rate (1 to 120 Hz), which could otherwise help save battery, and it defaults to the lower 60 Hz setting. Peak brightness reaches 3,000 nits, providing strong visibility even in bright conditions.
The fingerprint sensor performs well, though Face Unlock still fails to work in darkness. US units also drop the physical SIM slot entirely, shipping as eSIM-only.
Performance
The new Tensor G6 chip promises roughly 20 percent better power efficiency, 25 percent faster browsing, and 15 percent faster app loading. The phone ships with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. In daily use it feels fast and responsive, with the camera app opening a bit quicker than before.
Running the demanding mobile game Wuthering Waves revealed dropped frames during combat, and after an hour of play the device grew warm while battery dropped from 40 to 26 percent. Lighter games ran smoothly, but dedicated mobile gamers may want a different device.
