Graudiņa and Samoilova Triumph at Jūrmala Futures Tournament

Latvian beach volleyball pair Tīna Graudiņa and Anastasija Samoilova clinched the title at the BPT Futures tournament in Majori on Sunday. The world champions and top seeds defeated Danish duo Clara Windeleff and Astrid Mellmelli 2-1 (19:21, 21:18, 15:9) in the final. The Latvians started the decisive set with a 5-0 run and maintained their lead to the end.
Third place in the women's tournament went to Estonian pair Eva Kuivonen and Liisa Jyrgensoo, who had beaten Latvian duo Līva Ēbere and Daniela Konstantinova in the quarterfinals. The Estonians won the bronze medal match 2-0 (22:20, 21:16) against Spanish pair Marta Marques de Acuña and Adriana Ferro.
In the men's final, third-seeded Latvian duo Edgars Točs and Gustavs Auziņš defeated top-seeded compatriots Artūrs Rinkevičs and Ardis Bedrītis 2-1 (21:15, 18:21, 15:12). The men's bronze medal went to Ukrainians Ivan Datsiuk and Oleksiy Bublyk, who beat Serbs Marko Makarić and Đorđe Klasnica 2-0 (21:18, 21:16).
A total of 24 nations were represented across both tournaments, including participants from Scandinavia, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Poland, Australia, Uruguay, the USA, and Canada. Latvia's top men's pair Mārtiņš Pļaviņš and Kristians Fokerots did not participate. The qualification round featured 16 teams per gender competing for eight spots in the main draw, which started with 24 teams each. The Futures tournament is the third tier of the Pro Beach Tour, behind Elite 16 and Challenge events.
