The cultural venue “SUNS Studio” hosted the largest concert yet by the group “Eklektika”. The trio, which describes itself as “drums with two horns”, consists of drummer Kārlis Roberts Kalējs, saxophonist Rūdolfs Pēteris Rubenis, and clarinetist Artūrs Bariss.
The concert program included music from the debut album “Encounters” as well as brand new pieces intended for the second studio album, scheduled for release in the second half of this year. The musicians expressed that the evening was special – after the performance they felt a strong sense of satisfaction and a surge of energy, as their hard work and rehearsals paid off, allowing them to celebrate together with a full house.
A highlight was the latest single “Tiki Tiki”, which sets the direction for the upcoming album. The artists describe it as a journey to an undiscovered island, evoking ritual, dance, and the feeling of hot beach sand. This atmosphere was further enhanced by the visual design of the concert, created by light and sound artist Paulis Straume.
