Latvian band Kautkaili releases single "Savā vaļā" ahead of second album launch
The Latvian alternative pop band Kautkaili has released a new song and music video, "Savā vaļā", the final single from its second studio album "Visas pasaules jūtas". A launch concert for the album was scheduled for 30 October in Riga.

The Latvian band Kautkaili, whose music blends nostalgia for 1990s Latvian alternative pop with modern indie and electronic sounds, has released a new song and music video called "Savā vaļā". It is the last single from the group's second studio album, "Visas pasaules jūtas" ("All the Feelings of the World"), which the musicians are marking with a special launch concert on 30 October.
About the song
The album contains ten songs inspired by a range of life experiences and emotions. "Savā vaļā" tells a story of change, acceptance and the ability to move on. The band members explain that the song is about the moment when one has to accept that not everything stays as it was. In their words, it is not a sad song but rather an acceptance of reality, viewed from a light, bright and slightly ironic perspective, with the zest for life of a young person.
The sunny music video was directed and filmed by Mārtiņš Kivlinieks together with his team.
Launch concert
The album presentation concert takes place at the pavilion of the LKA National Film School. Listeners will hear all ten songs live for the first time, from first to last, and several compositions will be performed for the first time. The band stresses that the concert will not be repeated in this format.
The musicians say the album is very special to them, so they wanted to create a single memorable evening and live through the whole record together with their audience, in the order and as a whole as they created it. Because the aim is a small, personal atmosphere, only a very limited number of tickets is on sale.
About the band
Kautkaili consists of Kristīne Pāže, Didzis Bardo and Krists Krūskops. After their debut album "Personas kods", the band went on an electroacoustic concert tour called "Kur klusums zied" and played several sold-out shows. Earlier this year, they took second place in "Supernova", the Latvian Television song contest.
