Mo Aspen and Keyt release single “Tutti Frutti” with dance video
Latvian musician Mo Aspen and singer Keyt have released a new song, “Tutti Frutti”, along with a dance video. Mo Aspen promises several more singles ahead of an album due next year.
Latvian musician Mo Aspen (real name Madars, also given as Modris, Apse) has released a new pop single, “Tutti Frutti”, together with singer Keyt (Katrīne Keita Bērziņa). A dance video has been made for the song, with choreography by Keyt playing a major part. The single is part of Mo Aspen's build-up to an album expected next year.
Behind the song
Mo Aspen composed the music himself, while Keyt helped him write the lyrics. He also handled the song's production, mixing and mastering, and Keyt was responsible for the choreography.
The authors say the song is about the feeling of suddenly meeting a person who brings new colours into everyday life. Its rhythms combine cheerful energy, a romantic lift and a desire to enjoy the moment without analysing every step. The title comes from the association with eating a favourite sweet, which brings joy and a wish to repeat it.
Following the previous single
In the visuals for Mo Aspen's previous single, “Vienatnē” (“Alone”), the dancing role was played by singer Komēta (Agnija Vītola). Both “Vienatnē” and “Tutti Frutti” continue to mark what the authors themselves call the new Mo Aspen sound, which blends danceable, melodic pop with emotional and at times playful lyrics.
Mo Aspen says several more new singles will reach listeners soon. They will serve as an introduction to the album planned for next year.
