Hasbro and Scooby-Doo team up for one of the goofiest Transformers yet

Hasbro has launched two new Transformers robots in collaboration with Scooby-Doo: Mysterious Prime and Automutt, transforming from the Mystery Machine van and a box of Scooby Snacks.

Hasbro continues to surprise with unconventional Transformers collaborations. After NFL helmets, Evangelion-inspired bots, and a World Cup ball-shaped robot, the company has teamed up with Scooby-Doo to create what might be one of the silliest transforming toys. The $58 set includes two figures: the iconic Mystery Machine van converts into a robot named Mysterious Prime, while an ordinary box of Scooby Snacks becomes a mechanical canine detective called Automutt.

Despite the odd pairing on paper, Hasbro has crafted surprisingly appealing figures that pay tribute to both franchises. Mysterious Prime features four swappable heads inspired by each human team member—Fred, Shaggy, Daphne, and Velma—with details like Fred's signature ascot and Velma's glasses visor. The set also includes a tiny plastic camera to emphasize the gang's crime-solving nature.

The timing seems aimed at generating hype for Netflix's upcoming live-action Scooby-Doo series, expected in 2027. Both robots are available for pre-order now, with shipments starting around September 1. For anyone who ever wanted a lovable dog and a panel van that are more than meets the eye, this collaboration is a fun collectors' item.
