Officers of the Bauska County Municipal Police unit in Iecava recently spotted a suspicious vehicle while patrolling the allotment garden area on Pārupe Street. The car contained four individuals, and upon stopping the vehicle, police determined that all were Ukrainian citizens.

The individuals were unable to provide a clear reason for their presence in Iecava. Initially, they claimed to be lost; then said they were heading to Riga; and later mentioned they were visiting someone. These inconsistent statements raised suspicion.

The municipal police urge residents to stay vigilant, keep an eye on their properties, and be mindful of any suspicious persons or vehicles. Any unusual situations should be reported to the Municipal Police at 20278188 or to the State Police by calling 112.
