Construction of New Circle K Gas Station Begins in Iecava
A new Circle K gas station is being built in Iecava, with opening planned by the end of November. The station is located near the A7 highway and Jelgava highway junction.

Construction of a new Circle K gas station started in Iecava on Wednesday, June 10. The Bauska County Building Authority had previously approved the project and issued a building permit. The new station will be situated at the junction of the A7 highway and the Jelgava highway.
Armands Žubulis, retail director of Circle K Latvia, explained that the location was chosen based on traffic flow, local residents' needs, and existing network coverage. The construction work is being carried out by SIA "ROHE Latvijā", while the project was designed by the architecture and design office "5.AVĒNIJA".
The new station will feature three fuel pumps for cars and two for trucks. The first phase includes the construction of a approximately 200 square meter store offering freshly prepared food, beverages, and everyday goods, as well as a car wash and truck parking. In the second phase, electric vehicle charging points will be installed.
Upon opening, the station will employ between 10 and 17 people, depending on the season and customer volume. No significant traffic restrictions are expected during construction, except for temporary single-lane traffic while paving the connection to the Jelgava highway.
Currently, two Circle K stations operate on the A7 route – in Bauska and Grenctāle. The Iecava station will be the third. The investment amount is confidential, but the company continues to assess development opportunities across Latvia, including the Zemgale region.
Meanwhile, changes are underway at the station across the road at Rīgas iela 2B, where the previous "Astarte" will be replaced by "Virši". The Competition Council has granted permission for Virši to long-term lease 17 Astarte stations nationwide, which are to be modernized and integrated into the Virši network by the end of the year.
