Estonia can expect variable cloud and rain in places on Tuesday, with sleet possible in Ida-Viru County in the northeast of the country. Daytime air temperatures are forecast to range from 5 to 10 degrees above zero. The forecast was reported by the news programme "Aktuaalne kaamera" on ETV+, Estonia's public broadcaster.
Overnight
The night will be cloudy with clear spells. Rain is expected, but precipitation should become less frequent towards morning. Winds will blow from the northwest and north at 3 to 9 metres per second, with gusts of up to 14 metres per second on the coast. Air temperatures will range from 0 to 9 degrees above zero.
Daytime
During the day, cloud cover will remain variable and rain will fall in places. Sleet is still possible in Ida-Viru County. Winds will shift to the west and northwest at 4 to 9 metres per second, with gusts reaching 18 metres per second, which is stronger than the overnight gusts. Temperatures will be between 5 and 10 degrees above zero, slightly warmer than during the night, when the lowest forecast value is 0 degrees.
The forecast does not mention sub-zero temperatures, but the possibility of sleet in Ida-Viru County suggests conditions in the east of the country may be colder than elsewhere.
