Estonian football championship: Flora loses to Paide
Tallinn's Flora suffered a 1-2 home defeat against Paide on Sunday, bringing Paide closer to the top three.
In the 17th round of the Estonian football championship, Tallinn's Flora lost 1-2 at home to Paide on Sunday.
The hosts took the lead in the fifth minute through Daniil Kuraskin. However, Paide's Gambian striker Abdourahman Badamosi equalized in the 39th minute. The winning goal came from substitute Henry Anier, who converted a penalty.
With this victory, Paide earned 28 points and closed in on the top three. Levadia leads the table with 43 points, followed by Flora and Nõmme Kalju, both on 30 points, though Flora has a game in hand.
Other results: Tammeka beat Narva Trans 1-0, Levadia drew with Kalju 1-1, and Harju lost to Nõmme United 1-3. The round will conclude on Friday, June 26, with a match between Pärnu Vaprus and Kuressaare.
