Estonian Women's Épée Team Loses to Ukraine in Quarterfinals

The Estonian women's épée team suffered a defeat against Ukraine in the quarterfinals of the European Fencing Championships taking place in Antony, France. The team consisted of Julia Beljajeva, Irina Embrich, Katrina Lehis, and Veronika Zuikova.
Earlier in the round of 16, the Estonian fencers secured a convincing victory over Romania with a score of 45:28. However, in the quarterfinals, they narrowly lost to Ukraine 33:35.
The Estonian team will now compete for places 5-8, starting with a match against Switzerland, who lost their quarterfinal to France (37:45).
