Group home project for people with developmental disabilities advances in Imanta
The Latvian Movement for Independent Living has raised €85,000 in six months to build a group home in Imanta for 16 adults with various developmental disabilities.

The association “Latvijas Kustība par neatkarīgu dzīvi” (Latvian Movement for Independent Living), which has been working towards its dream since 2019, has raised €85,000 in half a year. The funds will be used to construct a group home in Imanta for adults with various developmental disabilities.
The planned home in Riga will house 16 people under the supervision of specialists, allowing them to lead more independent lives while easing the burden on their parents. The project has garnered public support, and fundraising continues.
