Iran has again restricted the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, despite the preliminary peace agreement signed with the United States just a day earlier. According to reports, warning shots were heard in the area of the strait, and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued radio calls urging vessels not to approach. There has been no official confirmation of this information so far.

This action threatens the agreement brokered by US President Donald Trump with Iran. Earlier reports indicated that the US had stopped interfering with ships heading to Iranian ports, and oil transport through the Strait of Hormuz was rapidly resuming. The day before, the first tankers had passed through the strait.

On Thursday morning, June 18, Iran and the US signed a preliminary peace agreement, which was confirmed by both Trump and the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
