Yamal scores first World Cup goal as Spain thrash Saudi Arabia
Spain bounced back from a disappointing draw against Cape Verde by defeating Saudi Arabia 4-0 in Group H of the World Cup, with Lamine Yamal scoring his first tournament goal and Mikel Oyarzabal netting twice.

Spain produced a dominant performance in their second World Cup Group H match, thrashing Saudi Arabia 4-0 on Sunday. The 2010 champions had been held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Cape Verde in their opener, but they found their attacking rhythm against the Saudis.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 10th minute, slotting home at the back post after a cross from Mikel Oyarzabal to score his first World Cup goal. Oyarzabal, who was criticized for failing to touch the ball in the first 30 minutes against Cape Verde, then added two quick goals in the 21st and 24th minutes, putting Spain firmly in control.
Spain's lead was so commanding that Yamal and Oyarzabal were substituted before the start of the second half. Early in the second half, Saudi defender Hassan Altambakti scored an own goal to make it 4-0.
Spain now have four points in Group H, while Saudi Arabia remain on one point. The other group match, between Cape Verde and Uruguay, is scheduled for later Sunday in Miami.
