Japan Crushes Tunisia in 1000th World Cup Match, Secures Knockout Spot
Japan recorded their biggest World Cup victory by beating Tunisia 4-0 in the tournament's 1000th match, becoming the first Asian team to score four goals in a World Cup contest and advancing to the knockout stage.

Japan took the lead in the fourth minute when Keito Nakamura set up Daichi Kamada, who scored from close range to make it 1-0 – the fastest goal in Japan's World Cup history. Tunisia goalkeeper Aymen Dahmen made a save from Takehiro Tomiyasu, but in the 31st minute, Ayase Ueda doubled the lead after receiving a pass from Kou Itakura and firing through Montassar Talbi's legs.
In the second half, Japan maintained control. In the 69th minute, Ueda set up Junya Ito, who slotted home to make it 3-0. Ueda completed his brace in the 83rd minute, heading in a cross from Kaishu Sano to seal a 4-0 victory.
The win is Japan's largest ever in a World Cup, and they became the first Asian nation to score four goals in a World Cup match. With six points, Japan advanced to the knockout stage, while Tunisia, with two losses, was eliminated. In Group F, the Netherlands also progressed after beating Sweden 5-1, setting up a clash with Japan for the group top spot.
