New Book Series 'Our Europe' Devoted to Central and Eastern European Literature

Two well-known Latvian translators, Māra Poļakova and Ingmāra Balode, have initiated a new book series titled 'Our Europe'. The series is dedicated to Central and Eastern European literature and aims to offer Latvian audiences a chance to discover the region's most significant literary works.
The initiators hope to encourage readers to take a fresh look at Central Europe, highlighting its cultural richness and literary heritage. 'Our Europe' is a way to bring the literature of neighboring and regional countries closer to Latvian society, works that often remain less visible compared to Western European literature.
While the first titles in the series have not yet been announced, it is already clear that this initiative could significantly enrich Latvia's book market and foster intercultural dialogue.
