Youth and Re-emigrants Not Eager to Use Business Support in Krāslava Region
In Krāslava region, only one project was submitted for both the youth business idea competition and the re-emigrant business support competition. Reasons include the unstable border situation and high tax burden, which is too heavy for novice entrepreneurs.

In the Krāslava region, young people and re-emigrants are not rushing to take advantage of business support provided by the state and local government. This year, both the competition for youth business ideas and the competition for re-emigrant entrepreneurship support received only one project each.
According to the Latgale editorial office of LSM, the reasons include not only the unstable situation in the border area but also the excessively high tax burden, which proves overwhelming for beginning entrepreneurs at the initial stage.
