Approximately 26,000 young people took part in a mock Saeima election, representing around 58.5% of the target group. The so-called signal elections gave secondary school students and vocational education students the opportunity to experience the voting process firsthand by casting ballots for Saeima deputy candidates.

Discussions on youth involvement in policy-making
On Tuesday, the National Youth Forum offered participants a chance to learn not only about the electoral process but also about how state policy is shaped more broadly. The event gave young people insight into decision-making mechanisms and how their views might be taken into account in such processes.
