Czech motorcycle brand Jawa has launched the new 42 FJ model, combining classic looks with modern technology. The bike features a 334 cc single-cylinder engine and a top speed of 130 km/h.

Czech motorcycle manufacturer Jawa has introduced the new 42 FJ model, dedicated to the brand's founder František Janeček (FJ). This retro-style roadster blends classic design with contemporary engineering, suitable for both city rides and longer journeys.
Powering the motorcycle is a 334 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke liquid-cooled engine with DOHC and four valves. It produces 29 hp (21.3 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 29.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox equipped with an Assist & Slipper clutch. Fuel consumption is approximately 3.1–3.3 liters per 100 km, giving a theoretical range of about 350–380 km from the 12-liter tank.
The bike weighs 184 kg (kerb weight), with a seat height of 790 mm, a wheelbase of 1,440 mm, and ground clearance of 178 mm. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. Suspension consists of a telescopic fork up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear with five-step preload adjustment. The frame is a double cradle design.
Standard equipment includes LED headlight, taillight, and turn signals, a digital instrument cluster, electric start, and hazard light function. The Jawa 42 FJ starts at €5,590.
