"Jelgava" convincingly revenges against "Tukums 2000" at home
"Jelgava" defeated "Tukums 2000" 4-1 at home, avenging a previous 5-0 loss. The match saw a red card for Tukums' Volkovs.

Jelgava secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Tukums 2000 at home on Sunday, avenging a heavy 5-0 defeat in the previous round.
The hosts took the lead late in the first half. In the 34th minute, Milošs Pudils delivered a cross from a corner kick, and Maksims Semeško headed the ball past goalkeeper Ivan Baturins. It was Semeško's first goal in the Latvian top flight. The goal was reviewed by VAR but stood.
Early in the second half, Tukums were reduced to ten men. After a VAR check, Kristeris Volkovs was shown a straight red card for a dangerous tackle in the 54th minute. This was his second consecutive match with a red card, having received two yellows against Daugavpils in the previous game.
Taking advantage of the numerical superiority, Jelgava quickly extended their lead. Milošs Pudils scored in the 58th minute, Armands Pētersons made it 3-0 in the 65th minute, and Roberts Meļķis added a fourth five minutes later. Tukums pulled one back in the 87th minute through top scorer Oloko Ede, who will return to Liepāja after this match.
The win moved Jelgava up to seventh place in the standings, while Tukums dropped to eighth. In their next matches, Jelgava will visit Super Nova, and Tukums will travel to bottom-placed Ogre United on June 26.
