Jelgava Begins Planting Summer Flowers
This week, Jelgava is replacing spring flowers with summer plants that will decorate the urban environment until autumn frosts.

According to the municipal institution "Pilsētsaimniecība", spring flowers in Jelgava's flowerbeds and pots are being gradually replaced with summer plants this week. Summer flowers have already been planted in several locations: Driksas pedestrian street, at the Lāčplēsis monument in Stacijas Park, at the Jelgava and district Registry Office on Pasta Street, and near the Jelgava City Hospital.
The seasonal plantings will consist of four types: Atkina petunias, hybrid begonias, New Guinea impatiens, and tall dahlias. The municipal authority notes that the summer plantings will add color to the cityscape until the autumn frosts.
