The municipal company "Jelgavas ūdens" has announced that from today, June 15, through June 17, the city's drinking water supply system will undergo preventive disinfection. The company states that a slight chlorine smell may be noticeable, but the chlorine concentration will remain within permissible limits, making the water safe for consumption and household use.

During the disinfection period and for 24 hours afterward, it is recommended to use boiled water for drinking, as well as for pets, aquariums, and houseplants.
