Traffic closed on Žagaru Road in Jelgava for roadworks
From 12 to 14 October, a section of Žagaru Road in Jelgava between Miezītes Road and 6 Vangaļu Road will be closed to vehicles because of roadworks. Drivers should use nearby streets, while pedestrians can pass along the roadside.

Traffic will be closed on a section of Žagaru Road in Jelgava from 8:00 on 12 October until 17:00 on 14 October, between Miezītes Road and 6 Vangaļu Road. The information comes from Pilsētsaimniecība, a municipal institution. The restrictions are linked to the construction of external water supply and sewage networks.
How to bypass the closed section
Drivers can go around the closed stretch using connections from adjacent streets. Miezītes Road, Bāra Road and Vangaļu Road are given as examples.
Pedestrian movement is provided along the roadside next to the construction zone.
Who is carrying out the work
The networks are being built at 4 Žagaru Road. The contractor, which is also responsible for organising traffic at the site, is SIA “Dins A”. The client commissioning the work is SIA “Zemgales būvserviss”.
The traffic restriction lasts about two days, and traffic on the section is expected to resume after the stated deadline.
