July 1 in Latvia: Cloudy with Rain and Thunderstorms
On Monday, July 1, Latvia will experience variable weather – morning sun in the east, followed by rain and possible thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temperatures range from +19°C in Kurzeme and the coast to +29°C in the east.
According to weather forecasters, July 1 in Latvia will be mostly cloudy. During the first half of the day, the eastern parts of the country may still see some sunshine, but in the afternoon a precipitation zone will arrive from the southwest. Brief rain is expected in many areas, and thunderstorms with heavy downpours could develop in some places.
Winds will generally be light, but may become gusty during thunderstorms. Temperatures will vary by region. In the eastern regions, it will be hot – up to +27…+29°C. Central regions will see temperatures of +24…+26°C, while Kurzeme and the coast will be cooler at +19…+24°C.
The UV index will be high in the eastern parts, so residents are advised to take precautions.
In the capital Riga, skies will become overcast, with rain expected from the afternoon onward, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms and heavy downpours. Light winds will persist, and the air temperature will rise to +22…+24°C.
