Jūrmala Invites Nominations for the Public Benefit Award
Jūrmala City Municipality is accepting nominations for the Public Benefit Award from 7 October to 7 November. The award recognises contributions to health and social protection and to strengthening civil society.
The Jūrmala City Municipality is calling on institutions and organisations to nominate candidates for the Public Benefit Award between 7 October and 7 November. The award goes to residents who have made a significant contribution to the health and social protection of Jūrmala's population. It also recognises those who have strengthened civil society and helped people at risk of social exclusion to become part of the community.
Categories
The award is presented in several categories:
- for lifetime contribution to social care, health protection or the building of civil society;
- for honest and selfless work in providing social assistance and social services to residents of Jūrmala;
- for honest and selfless work in health protection for residents of Jūrmala;
- for contribution to the development of social services and social assistance;
- for contribution to the development of the health sector;
- for selfless help to fellow citizens;
- for work and enthusiasm in strengthening civil society.
Who can nominate
Candidates may be put forward by institutions, agencies, commercial companies, non-governmental organisations, standing committees of the Jūrmala City Council, structural units of the Jūrmala administration and the Jūrmala Public Council.
