From October 5 to 18, the city of Jūrmala will host its Restaurant Week, an event inviting both visitors and residents to rediscover the city through its culinary offerings. A total of 26 restaurants and cafés across the city will take part, each preparing special menus designed specifically for the occasion.
Seasonal ingredients take center stage
The featured menus will highlight local, autumn-appropriate ingredients, including fish, game meat, wild mushrooms, pumpkins, apples, berries, and traditional rye bread. These familiar staples of Latvian cuisine will be paired with influences drawn from a variety of world culinary traditions.
A blend of flavors from multiple regions
Particular attention has been placed on combining local produce with international cooking styles. Diners will be able to sample dishes shaped by the culinary traditions of several European countries, as well as touches of Caucasian, Middle Eastern, and Asian cuisine. This approach allows participating restaurants to create new flavor combinations while still relying on a base of seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
Through this two-week event, Jūrmala's Restaurant Week offers both tourists and locals a chance to explore the diversity present in the city's dining scene, while simultaneously promoting the use of local products alongside international culinary influences.
