How young people can use AI responsibly in their studies
A Samsung representative argues that artificial intelligence should support students' learning rather than think for them, illustrating this with AI features built into the Galaxy S26 FE.

Technology is reshaping how people learn and process information daily, and artificial intelligence has become a common tool among young people for searching information, developing ideas and organizing study materials. At the same time, there is growing discussion about using such tools in a way that complements rather than replaces a student's own thinking.
Māris Ķikāns, Samsung Mobile's category lead for the Baltics, says AI delivers the most value when it helps users reach ideas faster and organize information better, rather than doing everything for them. This approach is reflected in the new Galaxy S26 FE smartphone, which integrates several AI features.
Practical tools for studying
Examples include Note Assist, which automatically formats, summarizes and translates notes, and Transcript Assist, which converts voice recordings into text and generates summaries — useful after lectures or group work. Such a summary should not be seen as the end of the learning process but as a starting point, helping identify which topics still need deeper study.
Creative self-expression
AI tools also support content creation: Photo Assist allows image editing through text prompts, Nightography improves photos in low light, Audio Eraser reduces background noise in videos, and My FanCam automatically tracks a chosen subject in frame.
Critical thinking remains essential
The article stresses that AI-generated answers are not automatically correct and must be checked against reliable sources, while copyright and privacy must be respected. Parents are advised to discuss with children not whether AI was used, but how it was used and how results were verified. It notes that traditional skills — critical thinking, argumentation and distinguishing reliable information — are becoming even more important.
