Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup

In the NHL finals, the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in Game 6 and won the series 4-2, capturing the Stanley Cup for the second time in franchise history.

The Carolina Hurricanes have won the Stanley Cup in the National Hockey League (NHL), defeating the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in the sixth game of the finals. The match was held in Las Vegas, and the visitors opened the scoring in the first period through Taylor Hall. In the second period, Jackson Blake made it 2-0, and Danish forward Nikolaj Ehlers sealed the victory in the third period. The Hurricanes won the series 4-2.

Throughout the playoffs, Carolina lost only three games. This marks the second Stanley Cup title for the franchise, with the first coming in 2006. Team captain Jordan Staal was named the Most Valuable Player of the playoffs. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour became the first champion to win the Stanley Cup with the same team as both a player and a head coach.
