Heatwave approaching Latvia: temperatures may exceed +30°C
Meteorologists predict that a hot air mass from Western Europe will reach Latvia this weekend, pushing temperatures to +30°C and above.

The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVĢMC) reports that a heatwave is set to hit Latvia in the coming days, driven by a hot air mass from Western Europe. By the weekend, temperatures across much of the country are expected to reach or exceed +30°C.
An anticyclone will bring stable weather conditions with little to no precipitation. Most of Latvia will experience dry and sunny weather, ideal for outdoor activities, but residents are urged to take precautions against the heat.
LVĢMC forecasts that the warm spell will continue until the end of the month. Authorities advise people to stay well hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during midday hours, especially between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
