Katō Returns with New Single and Reveals Her Life Behind the Stage
Singer Katō (Anna Zankovska) is back after a quieter period with the single 'Atdodu miegu', working in radio and TV, teaching vocals, and releasing a family album.

After several years of relative silence in the music scene, the name Katō – real name Anna Zankovska – has resurfaced. During this time, she has been working on new music, hosting radio and TV shows, and becoming a vocal coach. She graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and says teaching children inspires her greatly. However, she does not let her students sing her own songs, as she believes her repertoire is not suitable for a young audience.
In May, her new single "Atdodu miegu" was released. The title symbolizes a person for whom you are willing to sacrifice sleep. She is also working on a family album titled "Ceļoja laikā", featuring ten songs that include recordings from her childhood cassette tapes.
The artist's appearance has also changed – she has returned to her natural hair color, moving away from the bright tones she was known for. Katō says she has likely come to peace with herself. She guards her privacy but reveals she now has two dogs at home – a Yorkshire Terrier named Hosē and his grandson Koda.
Despite her many roles – singer, TV host, teacher – Katō emphasizes that everything has its time. She believes that by doing what she truly loves, she will always find her audience.
