TSC, a household appliance and smart device repair company belonging to the LMT group, has been hit by a cyberattack targeting its website. During the attack, unknown intruders gained unauthorized access to part of the company's customer database and extracted data from it.

After detecting the breach, TSC acted immediately to stop the attack, and for security reasons its website is currently offline.

About 7% of customers affected

According to an initial investigation, roughly 7% of TSC customers — those who used the company's website to submit a repair request — were affected. The attackers obtained information including customers' first and last names, company names, phone numbers and email addresses. Content stored on devices submitted for repair was not accessed.

Customers who handed in their devices in person at TSC service centers and did not use the website were not affected by the incident.

Company response

TSC head Jānis Ducmanis said the company is treating the situation very seriously and has concentrated all available resources on establishing the full details of the incident, mitigating its consequences, protecting customers and preventing similar situations in the future. The State Data Inspectorate, law enforcement institutions and the CERT.LV cybersecurity incident response team have been informed. TSC is cooperating with cybersecurity specialists to fully investigate the breach and implement additional security measures. The website will resume operating only after all necessary security checks are completed.

TSC is urging customers to be cautious of unexpected or suspicious emails, text messages and calls, especially those demanding urgent action or information, and not to share passwords, access credentials or authentication codes. Customers with questions can contact TSC by phone or email.

TSC noted that it operates on a fully separate, independent IT infrastructure from other companies in the LMT group, meaning no other group companies were affected by the incident.
