Kyiv reports damage in 10 districts after hybrid attack; rescuers confirm casualties

Following a massive hybrid attack on Kyiv, fires and destruction have been recorded in 10 districts, with multiple injured including children.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNS) has released details of the aftermath of a large-scale hybrid attack on Kyiv. According to the service, fires, destruction, and damage to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were recorded in 10 districts of the capital.

In the Obolon district, strikes ignited 30 cars, caused warehouse fires, and damaged residential buildings. A fire and destruction occurred between the 3rd and 4th floors of a multi-story apartment building. Rescuers found two injured persons who were handed over to medics. In the Podil district, fires broke out in private and multi-apartment residential buildings. In the Pechersk district, residential buildings were hit, resulting in fires; the roof of a church caught fire over an area of 800 square meters. In the Solomyanka district, a 9-story residential building was hit, with fires on the 5th and 6th floors. Rescuers reported saving 12 people, including 3 children. In the Holosiiv district, a warehouse building caught fire, and a critical infrastructure object was struck. In the Shevchenko district, a non-residential building, residential buildings, and commercial facilities were damaged. DSNS stated: "In a 25-story residential building, 3 people were rescued, and another person was freed from an elevator and handed over to medics with burns. The fire was contained." In the Dnipro district, a private residential house was damaged. In the Desna district, a fire occurred on the premises of an educational institution. In the Darnytsia district, debris fell and ignited. In the Sviatoshyn district, residential buildings were damaged without subsequent fire.
