Kyiv drone strike on Security Service building leaves seven injured

A Russian drone strike on the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) building in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district on September 4 injured seven people, six of whom were hospitalized. The SBU itself has not yet officially confirmed casualties.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that seven people were injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv following a Russian attack on September 4. According to Klitschko, six of the injured are currently receiving treatment in city hospitals.

The strike hit a building belonging to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The agency itself has not yet officially released information about casualties or injuries among its staff.

Circumstances of the attack

A Russian drone struck the SBU building in central Kyiv on Friday afternoon, near the "Zoloti Vorota" metro station. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the drone hit the office of Oleksandr Poklad, the acting head of the SBU, located inside the building. Zelensky added that the general was not in his office at the moment of the strike.
