Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv overnight, injuring eight people including an 11-year-old boy. Explosions were heard before the air-raid warning was issued.

A series of powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv overnight before an air-raid warning was issued. Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on four districts of the capital, leaving at least eight people injured.
According to Tymur Tkachenko, Head of Kyiv City Military Administration, the enemy attacked the capital with missiles. Residents heard the first explosions at around 03:38. An air-raid warning in Kyiv was issued at 03:40, while the warning for Kyiv Oblast followed at 03:54.
Early reports from monitoring Telegram channels suggest Russia may have used Iskander-M ballistic missiles or S-300/S-400 surface-to-surface missiles launched from Russia's Bryansk Oblast.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that the city had come under a ballistic missile attack. He reported a strike on a non-residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district, a transformer substation fire in Darnytskyi district, a three-storey office building fire in Solomianskyi district, and a fire on the grounds of a non-residential property in the Dniprovskyi district.
