Air defense active in Kyiv and region; cars catch fire after enemy drone strike

On the night of Monday, June 15, an air alert was declared in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region, with residents reporting sounds of explosions. Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, stated that air defense forces were working to neutralize the threat from enemy drones. He also warned of a possible combined attack on the capital.

Later, Tkachenko reported that in the Obolon district, cars had caught fire due to enemy drone strikes. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that air defense operations were ongoing in the city. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration also announced that air defense was active in the region.

This attack is part of Russia's regular drone strikes on Ukrainian cities, particularly the capital. No information on casualties or widespread damage has been provided yet.
