Air raid alerts sounded twice in Kyiv and several regions due to ballistic threat
On Sunday, June 28, air raid alerts were issued twice in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine in response to enemy ballistic missile threats. The first alert came around 2 a.m., with explosions and fires reported in the capital. The second alert began around 5 a.m. and lasted about six minutes.

First Alert and Explosions in Kyiv
According to the Ukrainian Air Force and regional military administrations, at approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, the Air Force warned of a possible ballistic missile attack. Shortly after, explosions were heard in Kyiv, and fires broke out in the city. Alerts were also issued in several other regions.
Second Alert at Dawn
At around 5 a.m., the Air Force again reported a ballistic threat. At 5:10 a.m., an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv, followed by alerts in other regions. However, at 5:16 a.m., the all-clear was given in the capital, and at 5:17 a.m., the Air Force officially announced the end of the threat. Alerts in other regions were also gradually lifted.
In total, since the start of the day, Kyiv and several regions experienced two air raid alerts linked to ballistic threats. No casualties or damage have been officially reported from the latest alert.
