Kyiv asks Lockheed Martin for more ballistic missile interceptors and F-16 repairs inside Ukraine
Ukraine has asked US defence manufacturer Lockheed Martin for more ballistic missile interceptors and for the ability to repair F-16 fighter jets on Ukrainian soil. Ukrainian officials say the talks took place while a batch of Patriot missiles already paid for by allies awaits a Pentagon signature.

In talks with US defence company Lockheed Martin, Ukraine put forward two requests: a larger supply of interceptors capable of stopping ballistic missiles, and repairs of F-16 fighter jets carried out inside Ukraine. The F-16 is a US-made fighter aircraft operated by Ukraine's air force.
According to Ukrainian officials, the talks came as a batch of Patriot air defence missiles, already paid for by allies, is waiting for a signature from the US Department of Defense, known as the Pentagon. The source does not give the size of the batch or say when a decision may come.
No further details about the participants, the course of the discussions or their possible outcome are provided.
