International Dog and Cat Exhibition Opens in Kipsala, Featuring Rare Breeds

Over 270 dog breeds and 24 cat breeds are on display at the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre in Riga, including rare breeds such as the lykoi cat and the Turkish national dog.

The Kipsala Exhibition Centre is hosting an international dog and cat exhibition, attracting a wide range of animal lovers and breeders. Visitors can see more than 270 dog breeds and 24 cat breeds in various colors. The event includes demonstrations, breed presentations, circus performances, and the chance to meet rare breeds from around the world. Notable highlights include the lykoi cat (also known as the "wolf cat"), the Turkish national dog, and one of the oldest sled dog breeds in the world. Pet owners can purchase food, treats, accessories, toys, and grooming products, as well as receive expert advice on nutrition, training, and equipment. The exhibition, titled "Latvijas uzvarētāju 2026", is organized by the Latvian Kennel Federation and the Latvian Feline Association "Felimurs".
