Cole Perfetti Signs $30 Million Contract with Winnipeg Jets
NHL forward Cole Perfetti, a restricted free agent who filed for arbitration, has agreed to a five-year, $30 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets.

Cole Perfetti, a 24-year-old forward who became a restricted free agent in July and filed for salary arbitration, has reached an agreement with the Winnipeg Jets on a new contract. The deal is for five years and a total of $30 million.
In the past season, Perfetti played 68 regular-season games, scoring 12 goals and adding 20 assists for 32 points. This was a drop from his previous career high of 50 points in 82 games the season before.
Although NHL restricted free agents have the right to go to arbitration, Perfetti and the Jets had already scheduled a hearing date when they reached this agreement. Under the new contract, Perfetti will earn $6 million per season, making him the fourth highest-paid forward on the team, behind Kyle Connor ($12 million), Mark Scheifele ($8.5 million), and Gabe Vilardi ($7.5 million).
The NHL season is set to begin at the end of September.
