Russia strikes Kramatorsk with air bombs, nine people injured
Russian forces attacked Kramatorsk in Donetsk region on Wednesday morning, dropping five aerial bombs. Nine civilians were injured and dozens of homes damaged.
Russian occupation forces struck the city of Kramatorsk in Ukraine's Donetsk region on Wednesday morning, using five "FAB-250" guided aerial bombs equipped with a universal gliding and correction module. The Donetsk regional prosecutor's office reported the attack.
Initial reports indicated that three women aged 59, 70 and 74, along with a 72-year-old man, sustained bodily injuries from the shelling. The blasts damaged 27 private homes and a car.
Casualty count rises
By 16:20 on Wednesday, the number of injured civilians from the morning air strike had risen to nine. The victims, aged between 49 and 80, suffered mine-blast injuries and lacerations.
The strike hit residential areas of the city, which has long been within range of Russian military attacks near the Donbas frontline.
