In the early hours of Friday, September 12, Russian forces carried out a missile strike on Odesa, damaging a multi-story residential building. Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa regional military administration, reported the attack, noting that three people were already known to have been injured.

According to Ukraine's Air Force, the movement of Russian cruise missiles from the Black Sea toward Odesa was detected around 5:30 a.m.

Attacks on other Ukrainian cities

The strike on Odesa followed a series of other attacks on Ukrainian cities the same night. Earlier that night, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia with attack drones, hitting a residential area. Two people were killed there, with additional people injured and buildings damaged.

The same night, Russian occupying forces struck Kryvyi Rih with ballistic missiles fired from several directions. A strike on an industrial facility killed one person and injured two others.

Russia's attack also affected Dnipro, where a fire broke out at one of the city's industrial facilities. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties in that incident.

Information about the situation in Odesa and other cities is being updated, as the scale of damage and the number of casualties from such attacks typically becomes clearer over the following hours.
