Russia launched a massive combined air attack on Ukraine during the night of June 15, employing a variety of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, a total of 681 air attack assets were detected, including 70 missiles and 611 drones.
The main direction of the attack was Kyiv, with missiles also targeting Dnipro and Kharkiv. The missiles consisted of six 3M22 Zircon anti-ship missiles, 34 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, and 30 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles. The drone types included Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Banderole, and Parody imitation drones.
Defense forces deployed aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned system subunits, as well as mobile fire groups. As of 08:00, 632 targets had been shot down or suppressed: 50 missiles and 582 drones. However, 20 ballistic missiles and 27 attack drones hit 42 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at 12 sites.
The Air Force warned that the attack is ongoing and urged residents not to ignore air raid alerts.
