Russia launched 115 missiles and over 3,000 drones at Ukraine in one week
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia used 115 missiles, nearly 1,900 guided aerial bombs and more than 3,000 attack drones against Ukraine over the past week. He called for tougher sanctions on Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that during the past seven days of the war, Russia attacked Ukrainian cities and communities with 115 missiles of various types, nearly 1,900 guided aerial bombs and more than 3,000 attack drones. The figures matter because they show the scale of Russian strikes and underpin Kyiv's appeal to allies to increase pressure on Moscow.
According to Zelenskyy, the strikes were combined, and many of them involved ballistic missiles. A significant share of the missiles were produced this year. Ukraine constantly provides its partners with information about Russian enterprises involved in ballistic missile production.
Call for stronger sanctions
The president stressed the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia. In October, Ukraine imposed major sanctions packages on individuals and legal entities involved in this production. Zelenskyy considers it very important that these measures be synchronised across Europe and G7 jurisdictions.
He said that if the world lacks sufficient anti-ballistic capabilities to protect Ukrainian skies, the missiles must be stopped on the production lines. Ukraine is counting on a strong 22nd European Union sanctions package and thanked the partners who are truly helping.
