Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported that on September 4 and during the night into September 5, Russian forces repeatedly attacked one of Mykolaiv's shopping malls with drones.

Two people were injured in the strikes — a 72-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl.

Damage and fires

Rescuers said the hits damaged trading halls inside the building and caused fires to break out. Emergency crews worked under the constant threat of repeated strikes on the site.

DSNS representatives noted that, due to the danger, personnel were repeatedly withdrawn to a safe distance. As soon as conditions allowed, rescuers returned to continue clearing the aftermath of the attack.

No further details on the condition of the injured or the full extent of the damage have been released so far.
